The Director's Cut does fix the ending up a bit, but in my opinion it is not enough to wholly save the movie. I Am Legend suffered quite a bit, and mostly due to its Theatrical Ending. What's awesome about Blade Runner is that its changes were really superficial between cuts, and most times barely noticeable, but it does add for a clearly better experience. If the original cuts showed us what it would be like in Middle Earth, the Extended Cuts practically put us there. They added essential story and lore parts that fleshed out Middle Earth even better than it already had been. The Extended Cuts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy weren't just longer versions of already long movies. I consulted my copy of the film for your answer. Its 190mins and it’s absolutely incredible. It includes an Overture, Intermission, and Entr'acte. The theatrical cut (144 minutes) Director's cut (189 minutes) Director's cut Roadshow version (194 minutes, this is the director's cut with an overture, intermission and entr'acte added) ElahaSanctaSedes777 1 yr. It's on the 10-Year Anniversary Blu-Ray and on 4-Disc DVD set (which I can't seem to find online, shame). If you can, find the Roadshow Director's Cut. But there's so much characterization added to the story (hell, a whole essential plotline was cut from the theatrical version) that it's practically a different movie and a damn good one at that. It's honestly my personal opinion on Kingdom of Heaven.
